The Indigenous Resource Opportunities Conference (IROC) is a landmark Indigenous-led conference for advancing Indigenous economic participation in BC’s natural resource sector. In it’s 10th year, IROC 2026 brought together First Nations leadership, government representatives, resource developers, and industry partners for three days of keynotes, panel discussions, and relationship-building focused on responsible and respectful resource development.

September 15–17, 2026
The Resource Breakfast Series brings together federal, provincial, and local government leaders, along with resource sector and association representatives from across British Columbia, offering a unique opportunity to hear firsthand updates and future plans for the mining, energy, and forestry sectors.

The Tailings and Mine Waste (TMW) Conference series began in 1978 and is one of the most respected and established mining conferences in the world. This Conference is hosted annually through Colorado State University in conjunction with the Norman B. Keevil Institute of Mining Engineering at the University of British Columbia and the University of Alberta.
