Tailings and Mine Waste originally started at Colorado State University in 1978 and subsequently progressed as the annual Tailings and Mine Waste Conferences 1994 through 2004, resuming once again in 2008.
The Tailings and Mine Waste Conference provides a forum for presenting the state-of-art and state-of-practice with respect to mill tailings and mine waste. It is an unmatched platform to discuss current and future issues facing the tailings, mining and environmental communities. It is targeted towards members of the mining community, engineers and scientists serving the mining industry, regulatory groups and other interest groups concerned with environmental issues related to tailings and mine waste management.
