Kaylen Mullin
Advisory Services Summer Intern
Kaylen is working towards a dual bachelor’s degree in Environment & Sustainability, and Indigenous Studies at the University of British Columbia. Her studies have focused on the relationship between social, cultural, and environmental influences. She brings a systems-lens to exploring how these relationships can both guide and impact ecological health, social equity, community resilience, and reconciliation.
As someone learning and working on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, Tsawwassen, and Tsleil-Waututh peoples, she recognizes the responsibilities that come with working and studying systems inter-connected to land, community, and governance. She is committed to supporting meaningful collaboration, respectful engagement and advancing sustainable, equitable solutions. Her perspective is also informed by her own lived experiences and acknowledges the ongoing reflection process necessary for learning what it means to engage respectfully with Indigenous knowledge and governance.
